Beowulf

Beowulf is the most famous Anglo-Saxon poem.

The poem tells the story of a hero called Beowulf, native of Geatland, who becomes famous by helping Hrothgar, King of the Danes. Beowulf kills first a moster called Grendel who had been terrifyng Hrothgar's people and then Grendel's mother who has promised to take revenge for her son's death.  

Junk food

Junk food is a pejorative term for food containing a large number of calories from sugar or fat with little dietary fiber, protein, vitamins or minerals. The term can also refer to high protein food like meat prepared with saturated fat. Food from many hamburger joints, pizza places and fried chicken outlets is often considered junk food.

Concerns about the negative health effects resulting from a junk food-heavy diet, especially obesity, have resulted in public healthawareness campaigns, and restrictions on advertising and sale in several countries. When junk food is consumed very often, the excess fat, simple carbohydrates, and processed sugar found in junk food contributes to an increased risk of obesity, cardiovascular disease, and many other chronic health conditions. A case study on consumption of fast foods in Ghana suggested a direct correlation between consumption of junk food and obesity rates. The report asserts that obesity resulted in related complex health concerns such upsurge of heart attack rates. Studies reveal that as early as the age of 30, arteries could begin clogging and lay the groundwork for future heart attacks. Consumers also tend to eat too much in one sitting, and those who have satisfied their appetite with junk food are less likely to eat healthy foods like fruit or vegetables.

In a study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the frequency of consumption of 57 foods/drinks of 4000 children at the age of four and a half were collected by maternal report. At age seven, the 4000 children were given the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, with five scales: hyperactivity, conduct problems, peer problems, emotional symptoms and pro-social behavior. A one standard deviation increase in junk food was then linked to excessive hyperactivity in 33% of the subjects, leading to the conclusion that children consuming excess junk food at the age of seven are more likely to be in the top third of the hyperactivity scale. There was no significant correlation between junk food and the other scales.

Globalization

Globalization is the process of interaction between people, companies and governments.
This process has effects on the environment, on culture, on political systems, on economic development and prosperity. Globalization has brought benefits in developed countries as well as negative effects.







-The positive effects include a number of factors which are education, trade, technology, competition, investments and capital flows, employment, culture and organization structure.

-The negative effects are jobs insecurity, fluctuation in prices, terrorism, fluctuation in currency, capital flows and so on.






I think it is impossible to return to on economy society that can get along without globalization because we are too used to the way we live.

Type of house in England

The most popular of house in England is the semi-detechad house and inside it there are two families.













The most unpopular type of house is the flat because the flat is only for tourists.

In the campsite there are the cottage house that is very old.

There are the detached house and it has a front garden and a back garden because England love the flora.







 

In England there are even the terraced house that are house all equal, in fact the England decorate the garden to distinguish them.









In English there aren't igloo and skyscraper.

Plot of a film

A film that I really love is "Collateral Beauty".
This is a dramatic film and the protagonist is Will Smith. This man has lost his little daughter

and he is separated from his wife. After a lots of years, he has not overcame the pain for the death of his daughter. So, his friend for help his, they send three stranger persons to interpret the death, the love and the time; to explain him that these phenomena are very natural.
In the same time he frequents a therapy of group and he knows a woman that has lost her daughter that called as the daughter of the protagonist: Olivia.
In the end he discovers that this women was his wife and they return together to be happy.
I love this film because I love tearful films and because the actor Will Smith is really good at acting.

Carla's sandwich

Carla every day used to take at the school a weird sandwich.
On Monday she took an olive, pickle and green bean sandwich. On Tuesday she took a sandwich with banana contage cheese delight. On Wednesday the Carla's sandwich was orange, brown and lumpy. On Thursday she took a sandwich with a chopped liver and potato. On Friday Carla's sandwich was with sardine and mustard. But the next day, no one wanted to sit near Carla, because her sandwiches were disgusting, but for Carla her sandwiches were creative .
The next day, Carla with her friends went to make a picnic. All ate their snack, but Buster, that was disgusted by Carla's sandwich, ate her sandwich because he didn't have the snack. Every one remained surprised and Buster said that the Carla's sandwich was very good, so every one tasted the sandwich and the next day, Carla's friends took at the school a weird sandwich.
Now all like to be different like Carla!

The best name day of my life

When I opened the gift box I found a book about One Direction's biography. I was only twelve years old when this band was born and like every girls I liked them. I really wanted this biography and I tried to convince my parents to buy it. One day, when I went back from school, I was really tired so I ran in my bedroom. When I arrived in my bedroom, I saw a gift box under my bed, I was really curious so I asked my parents what was it and they told me that the gift was for my sister and I felt sad. The next day, it was my name day and my parents gave me the same gift box. I opened the gift and I found the One Direction's biography, I was really happy!
